To me, it’s definitely the holidays when I see Christmas Trees on Cars when I am driving around, running my crazy holiday errands. And I instantly feel giddy. This is the 2nd year I’m participating in the Christmas Trees on Cars Blog Hop! I have decorated my mantle with wooden cars and trucks carrying Christmas trees, officially “driving” in the holiday season! Plus, grab the free printable to bring this fun part of the holidays into your own home.
My post is part of this year’s Christmas Trees on Cars Blog Hop!
I’ve had these wood cars and trucks for a few years now. My girls’ favorite free-time activity in preschool was to play with cars, so when I spotted these at the thrift store, I thought I would paint them. But I never got around to it. Bad Mama.
When Christmas Trees on Cars came around again this year, I started thinking about what I could use as a car, and that’s when I remembered my wooden cars and trucks! And this little round car up front was the car that inspired my printable.
I love this little truck in the back!
Both the little truck and big truck are carrying trees as well as plastic glitter ornaments from the Target dollar section. I’m glad they’re plastic and safe for our kidful/catful household! You can keep things secure with some removable adhesive like 3M command strips or museum putty. The top of the truck was the perfect spot for my framed printable.
My trees were also thrift store finds. The big tree on the bottom level of the truck had a battery pack attached, with twinkly lights!!! So I hid the battery pack behind the ornaments so I can turn it off and on easily.
Hope you liked this year’s Christmas Trees on Cars (and Trucks!).
Here’s what I made last year…Christmas Trees on Cars Printable Glass Ornaments. I kept the same saying on this year’s printable, as it’s what goes through my head when I see a Christmas tree on a car!
