If you are headed out of town for the upcoming holidays and you’ve asked a neighbor to take care of your furry loved ones, be sure to thank them with a gift before you go or after you come back. Today I have a free printable holiday thank you card and gift tag to say thank you for pet sitting. Each version says “Thanks for Taking Care of Me!” with either a dog or cat in a stocking.
When we went to Hawaii over the summer, we had our next door neighbor take care of our kitty Sherry. It was nice that she got to stay home where she was comfortable. We of course gave him gifts from Hawaii but I wished I had made a thank you card. We aren’t going anywhere for the holidays but one of you lucky ones out there might be!
Save the image you’d like (dog or cat) to your computer.
Then, print it out on cardstock in any size. In my example, I did a tag for a mason jar, and a card that I printed out and folded in half. To do the tag, I just printed it out in wallet size. Here’s what my screen looks like but yours might be different. After I printed it out, I cut it out with pinking shears.
For the thank you card, I printed it as a 3.5×5 image. It happens to print along the bottom edge of the paper when you’re looking at it in landscape orientation, with blank space above it. So all you have to do is print it out on cardstock, trim the paper, and fold the paper in half, and you have an instant, super easy card. Note: for both, make sure you uncheck the “Fit Picture to Frame” box so the whole image shows. And again, your screen might look different from mine. You can also insert the images into a Word document and resize it there.
This gift tag/thank you note would also be great to give to your veterinarian’s office!
