Directions – Envelope
Print out the Hogwarts Letter Printable Envelope onto parchment-like paper. Cut the paper down to 8.5×8.5 inches.
You can use an envelope template or tool of your choice (I’m using a scoring board that has an envelope template) to create a size A2 envelope (4-7/8 x 6 inches).
If you don’t have an envelope too, you can use the measurements below to create your folds for the envelope.
Fold in the side flaps first, then the bottom then the top. Set aside for now.
Directions – Faux Wax Seal
If you have a wax seal kit and a letter H, then you can definitely use that. But if you don’t, here’s how to make a wax seal out of paper and a DIY stamp. I cut out a 1-inch circle and an uppercase letter H out of craft foam. Then I ran them through my Xyron sticker maker with repositionable adhesive and stuck it onto my acrylic stamp block (repositonable adhesive because you’ll want to peel it off to reuse the stamp block). Then, apply embossing ink to your stamp and stamp your letter H onto some red paper. Allow a little bit of room in between.
Sprinkle clear or red embossing powder over your stamped H’s.
Shake off the excess powder.
Then using your heat tool, melt the powder so you’re left with a shiny and slightly raised H.
Finally, using scissors, cut around your H’s. Make your cuts squiggly so it looks like drippy, un-uniform wax.
Apply adhesive to the back of your H’s (I used my Xyron permanent adhesive) and stick onto the back of your envelope to seal it up.
Make a bunch to flow out of your mailbox, mail slot, or fireplace. Place them in some egg shells (I’ll be doing this as well!) or have some owls holding them. Or you can even suspend them in the air.
